Support my swim for youth mental health

I'm taking part in the LAP it UP swim challenge to raise awareness and funds for Live4Life’s mental health education and youth suicide prevention model.

Mental health has been a deeply personal journey for me for nearly 15 years. From a young age, I was diagnosed with C-PTSD and anxiety as a result of childhood trauma. These challenges have shaped much of my life, and while they are something I continue to face daily, I’ve learned that healing is not about erasing the past—it’s about finding strength, resilience, and hope in spite of it.

This swim is more than just a physical challenge—it’s a symbol of perseverance and a way to turn my struggles into something positive. By taking on this event, I hope not only to raise vital funds for an incredible cause, but also to spark conversations, break down stigma, and remind others who may be struggling that they are not alone.

Every stroke in the water represents a step forward—not just for me, but for anyone who has ever battled with their mental health. Your support means helping to create awareness, provide resources, and bring light to a subject that too often stays in the shadows.

Live4Life builds the capacity of young people to recognise, seek and offer help for mental health concerns and it also builds the capacity of the whole community to look after and support their young people.

It engages young people, school staff, parents, carers and the broader community in evidence-based mental health education.

Please support my LAP it UP swim challenge - your donation will help more young people to receive vital mental health education and will help save lives!

Thank you
