Support my swim for youth mental health

Even in this day and age, there’s  a horrible stigma around Mental Illness that makes it harder for young people to seek the support they deserve. Too often they’re shamed by even the people closest to them, based on the outdated idea that mental illness is Something they need to just “get over.”

Speaking as someone who has been there and done that, I know just how hard it can be. The judgement, the lack of understanding, the shame that you don’t deserve to feel. At your most vulnerable, people’s lack of understanding can make it even worse. And so, that’s why…

I'm taking part in the LAP it UP swim challenge to raise awareness and funds for Live4Life’s mental health education and youth suicide prevention model.

Live4Life builds the capacity of young people to recognise, seek and offer help for mental health concerns and it also builds the capacity of the whole community to look after and support their young people.

It engages young people, school staff, parents, carers and the broader community in evidence-based mental health education.

Please support my LAP it UP swim challenge - your donation will help more young people to receive vital mental health education and will help save lives!

Cheers,

London
