I'm taking part in the LAP it UP swim challenge to raise awareness and funds for Live4Life’s mental health education and youth suicide prevention model.
Live4Life builds the capacity of young people to recognise, seek and offer help for mental health concerns and it also builds the capacity of the whole community to look after and support their young people.
It engages young people, staff, parents, carers and the broader community in evidence-based mental health education.

My own story
Sunday 21st Sep Over the past 6 months, I have been through some of the hardest times in my life. Therapy, mindful practices and nervous system regulation has completely changed my life in my recovery from recent trauma. Suicide prevention is also close to my heart losing two of my close friends in my late teens so any initiative that will encourage more conversation in youth settings I will always get behind. Oddly, swimming has become a new found love of mine and a strangley calming form of exercise for me. I am dedicating myself to just shy of 2klms per day for every day in October.
