Support my swim for youth mental health
I'm taking part in the LAP it UP swim challenge to raise awareness and funds for Live4Life’s mental health education and youth suicide prevention model.
Live4Life builds the capacity of young people to recognise, seek and offer help for mental health concerns and it also builds the capacity of the whole community to look after and support their young people.
It engages young people, school staff, parents, carers and the broader community in evidence-based mental health education.
Please support my LAP it UP swim challenge - your donation will help more young people to receive vital mental health education and will help save lives!
Thank you

Day 15
Thursday 16th Oct Since I’ve achieved my lap goal, I gave myself permission to take a break from the pool today (Wedbesday) Share
Lap goal achieved on day 14!

Lap It Up - Day 14 Swim

Day 13
Monday 13th Oct

Day 11 - Saturday 11th
Sunday 12th Oct I gave myself permission to have day off from my laps today.. There’s a lot going on atm so taking care of me too and listening to my body when it’s telling me not to over-exert. I’m well ahead of my initial lap target for this stage of the month so I don’t feel guilty about it. I still got a nice walk in though.
Day 10 - World Mental Health Day
Friday 10th Oct

Day 9 - Swim
Friday 10th Oct

Day 8
Friday 10th Oct Today was a big day of travelling for me and I was exhausted. Given I’m already ahead of my lap target, I gave myself today off Share

Day 5 - 5/10
Sunday 5th Oct

Day 3 - Friday 3/10
Friday 3rd Oct Today, I again didn’t manage to get a swim in, however, I did do another 50 minute Pilates class which I’ve done consecutively this week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday so think I’ve more than made up for the 6 laps I’ve missed. My oblique muscles are sore from the back to back Pilates sessions I’ve done and the 12 laps I swam on Wednesday Share
Day 2 - Thursday 2/10
Friday 3rd Oct Yesterday was a super busy day for me so I didn’t actually get a swim in, however, I did do a Pilates class though so I’m being creative and counting that as my activity for day 2. I also did 12 laps (300m) on day 1 when my daily goal is only to do 6 laps, so I think I can let myself off the hook 😉 Share
