What is LAP it UP?

LAP it UP is a fitness and fundraising challenge to swim laps for youth mental health awareness and suicide prevention in rural and regional communities.  

LAP it UP promotes a healthy mind and body and brings communities together to celebrate our personal best both in the water (by swimming laps) and out of the water (by raising funds for Youth Live4Life).

When & where is LAP it UP?

LAP it UP runs over 15 days from 115 October 2023. You can choose to swim in your local public pool, in your backyard pool or even in the ocean!

You can also choose to be part of the in-person celebrations on the very last day of the event, at the Kyneton Toyota Sports & Aquatic Centre on Sunday 15 October 2023 between 9am—1pm.

How long is a lap?

Make your laps as long or short as you like by swimming in the ocean, in a 50 metre Olympic-style pool or even a wading pool in your backyard! As long as you're moving, making a splash & counting your laps – you're in!

How much does it cost to register?

It’s completely FREE to register!

How do I join a team?

You can join a team by clicking on the ‘Join Us’ button on the team’s fundraising page. If the team is set to a private status, you will need to ask the team leader or captain to send you an invite.

Fundraising

The funds that I raise – where do they go?

LAP it UP is managed by Youth Live4Life – all funds raised go towards Youth Live4Life’s award winning, evidence based, youth mental health and suicide prevention initiative, Live4Life.

What should I do if one of my supporters provides me with cash?

If cash or cheques are received, you can deposit the money into your own bank account and then donate directly onto your page using a credit card. Your total fundraising amount will then be shown on your fundraising page.

My profile page

How do I edit my page?

Login to your LAP it UP account and head to your dashboard. Click on ‘Edit my Page’. Here you can update everything from your fitness goal to your profile picture.

How do I log my laps?

Step 1: Login
Step 2: Cick on the My Fitness Activity tab
Step 3: Under Add Activity, enter the date and the laps swum
Step 4: Click on the Save Changes button

The number of laps will now appear on your fundraising page!

PLEASE NOTE: 

All participant laps logged prior to the event start date, will be set to ZERO on the morning of 1st October 2023. 

How do I create a Team?

Simply go to your Fundraising dashboard, select the ‘CREATE A TEAM’ tab, and follow the prompts. 

How do I reset my password?

Login to your LAP it UP account and head to your dashboard. Click on ‘My Account’ and select the ‘Reset Password’ tab.
